TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Governor Rick Scott’s appointments this week to the CareerSource Florida Board of Directors further demonstrate his ongoing commitment to ensure businesses and families have opportunities to prosper.

CareerSource Florida is the statewide workforce policy and investment board charged with guiding workforce development in support of existing and emerging business needs. Newly appointed board members include:

Camille Lee-Johnson, of Atlantic Beach, the chief operating officer at Lee Wesley and Associates, appointed through October 24, 2020.

Tony McGee, of Orlando, the CEO of HNM Global Logistics, appointed through October 24, 2020.

Stephanie Smith, of Miami, the senior public policy manager at Uber Technologies, appointed through October 24, 2020.

“Our newest board members bring a wealth of experience in diverse industries, from trade and logistics to professional services,” said Board Chairman Britt Sikes, General Manager of Enterprise Accounts at DEX Imaging. “CareerSource Florida applauds Governor Scott for his  appointments, and we look forward to working with these business leaders to further strengthen Florida’s talent pipeline in collaboration with our education and industry partners.”

The CareerSource Florida network provided workforce services to more than 369,100 Floridians reported to have secured employment last year, and more than 81,700 businesses.

Board members reappointed by Gov. Scott are:

Elisha Gonzalez Bonnewitz, of Winter Park, government and community relations manager for Duke Energy, reappointed through March 21, 2019.

Tim Center, of Tallahassee, founder of Centerfield Strategy and CEO of Capital Area Community Action Agency, reappointed through March 21, 2020.

Rose Conry, of Jacksonville, CEO of Stafftime, reappointed through July 6, 2019.

William Johnson, of Tampa, former vice president of finance shared services at Coca-Cola Refreshments, reappointed through March 21, 2019.

Rick Matthews, of Viera, vice president of global operations of Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation, reappointed through March 21, 2019.
