Dr. Ashley Meros

Dr. Ashley Meros serves as Chancellor for the Florida Department of Education’s Division of Career and Adult Education. She previously served as Associate Vice Chancellor for Career and Technical Education and as Bureau Chief for Adult and Career Education, where she strengthened Florida’s adult education system and advanced statewide CTE policy and program development. Prior to joining the Department, she was a teacher educator and research scientist at the University of Georgia, focusing on workforce development and preparing the next generation of teachers and scientists of agriculture. She began her career as a secondary agriculture teacher and FFA advisor in North Carolina.

As someone whose own path was shaped by career and technical education, Dr. Meros is passionate about ensuring every Floridian has access to opportunities that lead to meaningful careers, stronger families, and brighter, more secure futures. She holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communication from Texas A&M University, a Master of Science in Agricultural Education from North Carolina A&T State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from East Carolina University. She lives in Tallahassee with her husband, Nick, and their three boys.
