Sophia Eccleston

Strategic Policy and Performance Council Chair

Sophia Eccleston is the Clean Energy Solutions director at NextEra Energy Resources. Previously she was the senior external affairs manager for Florida Power & Light Company. Prior to these roles, Eccleston worked for Halliburton and KBR Inc. in the Middle East and Africa. She is an Army veteran who also serves as a commissioner on the Florida Commission on the Status of Women. Eccleston has volunteered her time with the Homeless Coalition of Palm Beach County, Executive Women of the Palm Beaches Foundation, Florida Women’s Business Center and the Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Eccleston earned her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Armstrong Atlantic State University and her Master of Business Administration from American Intercontinental University. She lives in Wellington.
