Congratulations on your new job! Whether it is your first job, a new job, or the next step on your career ladder, you are taking an important step toward achieving your dreams in the Sunshine State. Every job has an impact on families and communities, and your hard work will make a positive difference in your own life, as well as the lives of others.
We have turned Florida’s economy around, and we are creating more opportunities every day. Since December 2010, we have created over 1.2 million jobs, we currently have more than 243,000 job openings, and our private-sector job growth rate of 3.3 percent has exceeded the nation’s for over four-and-a-half consecutive years.
We are working every day to give Florida a competitive edge so our state can be first in the nation for job creation. We have cut taxes more than 55 times for Florida businesses and families and eliminated more than 4,500 burdensome regulations. We will continue to do all we can to make Florida the most business-friendly state in the nation so job creators can continue to invest in our state and provide more opportunities for our families.
