Expanding Apprenticeships in Florida: A recent statewide survey commissioned by CareerSource Florida found about a third of the Florida employers surveyed report skills gaps among job seekers as well as current and former employees. Workforce developers, economic developers and educational entities are collaborating to bridge those gaps through several strategies, including an increased emphasis on Registered Apprenticeships.

Florida’s collaborative efforts already have resulted in systemwide partnerships, and the engagement of nearly 100 industry and expert volunteers who are identifying ways to expand this important career pathway.
